Mothers’ Engagment Programme
WEDNESDAY MOTHERS’ COFFEE MORNING
[ Monthly ] | Regular Informal Community Session
Held every month, our Wednesday Mothers' Coffee Morning provides a welcoming space where mothers can connect, share experiences, and build supportive relationships within the community. Through open conversation, group activities, and informal learning, the sessions strengthen wellbeing, encourage mutual support, and create opportunities for mothers to engage more closely with the development of their children and The Hotspot's wider work.
-
Our women’s coffee mornings provide a safe and welcoming space for mothers and female carers to better understand the issues affecting the young people in their lives. Many parents want to offer support but may not always understand the pressures young people face or know how best to respond.
-
We aim to educate and equip women with practical approaches that can help them better support their children and strengthen relationships at home. The sessions also provide an important opportunity for women to enjoy food, socialise, share experiences and build supportive relationships with one another. More than 50 women regularly attend each session.
-
The coffee mornings help us build trust with parents and create a stronger connection between our work with young people and the support they receive at home. Parents gain a clearer understanding of our approach and how they can reinforce and build upon the progress being made through our programmes and mentoring.
