Our Story
BELIEF WAS ONLY THE BEGINNING.
The Hotspot was born at a time when young people needed support more than ever. Youth services were disappearing, challenges were growing, and many young people needed more than simply somewhere to go. They needed somewhere to belong, trusted mentors who understood their lives, and opportunities that could help them move forward.
Three people from different backgrounds came together in Nechells with one shared belief: young people deserved better. That belief became The Hotspot — a community built around faith, belonging, guidance and opportunity.
Through sport, mentoring, education and personal development, we support the whole young person — their confidence, wellbeing, identity, relationships and ambitions. Today, The Hotspot is more than youth work. It is a growing culture where young people receive support, discover their potential and return to lift the next generation.

What began with three friends became a shared commitment to building something our community truly needed—a safe, welcoming place where young people could belong, grow, and thrive. Guided by faith and a genuine desire to serve others, they set out to create more than just a youth club. They wanted to build a positive environment where friendships are formed, confidence is developed, and every young person is given the opportunity to become the best version of themselves.
