YASIN ERKUL

Yasin Erkul is the Impact and Evaluation Officer at The Hotspot, specialising in facilitation and mentoring with boys and young men. His work focuses on masculinity, identity, belonging, mental health and youth violence. After moving from Essex to Birmingham, Yasin completed a degree in Criminology at Birmingham City University and later gained a Master’s degree in Youth Mental Health. He is currently training to become a counsellor. His experience spans the YMCA, ConnectFutures, Kooth and Dream Chasers Youth Club, where he has delivered workshops, mentoring and training to more than 5,000 young people and professionals.

Through this work, Yasin has developed expertise in youth engagement, group facilitation and supporting boys and young men through the challenges they face
